Introducing Full Stack Content
A weekly email newsletter to level up your skills and accelerate your career

Welcome to Full Stack Content by me, Brent Summers.
I’ve never written a newsletter before, but I can already tell this is going really well. 😎
A little about me
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating content. In 2nd grade, I wrote an original short story called “The Crocodile Dentist.” Apparently it was pretty good. I was asked to recite it multiple times for different classes around the school. And yes, my mom still has a copy.

My first “content job” was on the yearbook team in high school. Yearbooks are full of nostalgia. Especially in this age, it’s a privilege to work on something that is printed (in hard cover!) and people will keep forever.
Over the past (almost) twenty years, I have helped a lot companies successfully build products, redesign websites, and run campaigns. Chances are you probably know at least a few of the companies in my portfolio. Here are some of my favorites: Airbus, Amazon, Elastic, HP, NASCAR, New Relic Pivotal, REI, Segment, Sift, and Sumo Logic.
See! I told you would probably know a few.
Why content is important
Content helps to clarify, to unify, to persuade, and to sell. Content makes products easier to use. Content keeps us glued to our screens.
Designers and developers get a lot of the credit for those sorts of projects but if you remove all of the content from you favorite website or digital product, it wouldn’t be very effective.
Need convincing? Imagine the Lyft app without any UI copy.

As you can see, content is serious business.
